Amentum seeks a skilled mechanical engineer to design, fabricate, modify, and evaluate complex mechanical and electro-mechanical components and subsystems for mission-critical applications. You will prepare specifications, analyses, and recommendations for project approval, and lead technical studies across design teams.

Responsibilities include coordinating drafters and technicians, conducting independent investigations, and ensuring safety and quality in all phases.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years of relevant experience with an Associate's degree.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience with Mechanical Engineering Bachelor's degree, or a mix of experience and education.

Aufgaben

• Designs, fabricates, modifies and evaluates complex mechanical and electro-mechanical components and systems.
• Prepares design specifications, analyses and recommendations for approval.
• Plans, organizes and conducts technical projects involving design and development of new or improved products and processes.
• Coordinates the efforts of drafters/designers, engineering technicians, and machine shop personnel as required by assigned projects.
• Conducts independent technical investigations involving material specifications and requirements.
