AMETEK, Inc. in Naugatuck, CT, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, modify and evaluate mechanical components for R&D and sustaining production. You will coordinate drafters and shop personnel and support product life cycle from concept through qualification.

Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 4+ years designing mechanical components/systems for industrial applications.
  • Proficient in 3D modeling software to design mechanical parts, assemblies, and drawings.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of ASME B31.1, B31.3 and BPVC Code preferred.
  • Experience with common measurement instruments.
  • Experience with product development and product life cycle preferred.

  • Provide technical clarification about product function, acceptable modifications, and limitations to sales groups and customers.
  • Identifies and implements opportunities for improvement, both for products and processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of ASME B31.1, B31.3 and BPVC Code construction preferred.
  • Experience with common measurement instruments.
  • Experience with product development and product life cycle preferred.
Compensation

Employee Type: Salaried

Currency: USD

Salary Minimum: 90,000

Salary Maximum: 110,000
