Job summary

Atec is seeking an experienced mechanical/electromechanical engineer to lead design and analysis activities for hardware development. You will review SOWs, create layouts and specifications, perform FEA/CFD analyses, and coordinate fabrication and testing.

Ensure compliance with AS9100/ISO and manage budgets and schedules. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and 3–8 years of related experience; proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, CFD tools, MATLAB, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (preferred).
• Experience with 3D solid modeling and engineering analysis tools.
• Ability to design mechanical systems and perform FEA/CFD analyses.

Responsibilities

• Review SOWs, specs, and manuals to meet project requirements.
• Design components of mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, pneumatic systems.
• Prepare layouts, drawings, and schematics.
• Perform FEA/CFD analyses and classical calculations.
• Direct fabrication and testing of instrumentation and equipment.
• Coordinate fabrication, installation, and compliance with standards.
• Evaluate field installations and propose design improvements.
• Develop quotes and technical proposals.
• Stay current on engineering software and testing methods.
• Work within budgets and schedules; improve processes.
• Ensure AS9100/ISO compliance and report deviations.
