Job summary

Bowman Company in Westminster, CO is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to join our design team and advance mechanical systems for diverse projects.

You will develop construction documents, lead design efforts, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with project teams and clients to ensure quality and timely delivery.

The requirements include a BS in mechanical or architectural engineering, 3+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD and REVIT; EIT/LEED are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or architectural engineering required.
• Three or more (3+) years of relevant industry experience in design of mechanical systems.
• Knowledgeable of AutoCAD, REVIT, CHVAC/RHVAC, Trane Trace and/or eQuest modeling software.
• EIT and LEED accreditation strongly preferred.
• Desire/plan to work toward obtaining Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts and provide direction on complex assignments with sound professional judgement.
• Assist with marketing the firm’s capabilities to establish new clients and strengthen relationships with existing clients.
• Mentor and provide resources for less experienced Design Engineers.
• Represent project team in client communications and resolutions as needed.
• Design appropriate mechanical systems in accordance with current code requirements and sound engineering principles.
• Produce accurate construction documents and meet milestones within budgeted hours.
• Assist with project specifications and budget construction cost estimating.
• Address comments from clients and authorities; adjust designs accordingly.
