Job summary

Bowman seeks a Mechanical Engineer II to join our Rogers, AR team, performing mechanical design and developing construction documents for diverse projects in collaboration with senior engineers.

Responsibilities include leading design efforts, mentoring junior staff, coordinating with project teams, and conducting field observations to ensure quality and on-time delivery. A bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or architectural engineering.
• Three or more (3+) years of relevant industry-related experience in design of commercial/government/academic projects.
• Knowledgeable of AutoCAD, REVIT, CHVAC/RHVAC, Trane Trace and/or eQuest modeling software.
• EIT and LEED accreditation strongly preferred.
• Desire/plan to work toward obtaining Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems in accordance with current codes and sound engineering principles.
• Communicate effectively with engineers, project manager, and the client.
• Conduct field observations to document existing conditions.
• Organize and prioritize tasks to complete designs within budgets and schedules.
• Produce construction documents to meet milestones within hourly budgets.
• Assist in developing construction cost estimates for mechanical systems.
• Attend design meetings and review comments from clients and authorities.

Education

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or architectural engineering

EIT accreditation

Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred)
