Job summary

KBR is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for contingency work supporting TACOM (WVA). The role involves planning, designing, and managing mechanical systems across HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and industrial equipment at a military installation.

You will develop studies, plans, specifications, and cost estimates while ensuring codes, safety standards, and project goals are met. The position requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit, and ability to obtain

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited) or equivalent.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and industrial equipment.
• Ability to interpret designs, specs, calculations and cost estimates.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, NFPA, and IBC/Mechanical Code requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and manage mechanical projects for facility infrastructure.
• Develop drawings, specs, calculations, and cost estimates for new/building upgrades.
• Serve as project manager for scope, schedule, and budget from planning through completion.
• Conduct studies and assessments to identify deficiencies and propose solutions.
• Provide technical oversight during construction, testing, and commissioning.
