Job summary

Nakupuna Services is seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer to serve as a Key Personnel on the DoWEA Team. The role involves on-site assessments of mechanical systems across DoWEA facilities in the Pacific region, including frequent international travel to Japan, Okinawa, South Korea, and Guam. Ideal candidates hold a PE or EIT credential and have 5+ years of experience evaluating institutional mechanical systems.

U.S. citizenship and DoD access are required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum five years of experience assessing institutional/mechanical systems.
• Active PE license or EIT/FE credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct facility condition assessments of HVAC, piping, and hydronic systems.
• Document data in E-SMS and enter within required timelines.
• Support FCAR development with photos and technical justifications for amber/red components.
