Job summary

Nakupuna Services seeks a full-time Mechanical Engineer to join the DoWEA Team as the primary mechanical systems expert for regional facility surveys and assessments. You will conduct on-site condition assessments across 45 campuses on 21 installations in Japan, Okinawa, South Korea, and Guam, contributing to asset management and SRM budgeting.

The role involves rigorous data collection, reporting, and occasional cross-border deployments.

Qualifications

• Strong technical analysis skills for facility assessments.
• Familiarity with SMS BUILDER methodology and direct-rating methods.
• PE license or EIT/FE credential preferred.
• Ability to coordinate logistics and perform fieldwork internationally.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual and direct-rating inspections of HVAC, boilers, piping, and EMCS.
• Catalog major mechanical equipment and enter data into E-SMS within 90 days.
• Verify barcodes/QR codes for major systems and ensure asset compatibility.
• Support FCAR development with documentation and justifications for Amber/Red components.
• Support Triennial and Out-of-Cycle task orders with flexible deployment.
