Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, based in East Hartford, CT, seeks a P2 Mechanical Engineer to support military exhaust system hardware within the ESTO organization. You will evaluate nonconforming hardware, drive corrective actions, and influence cross-functional teams to improve production capability and engine readiness.

The role emphasizes collaboration with manufacturing, quality, procurement, and engineering. A Mechanical or Aerospace degree plus 2 years of engineering experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 2 years engineering experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and disposition nonconforming military exhaust system hardware per engineering requirements and safety standards.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams across manufacturing, structural analysis, quality, procurement, and engineering SMEs.
• Conduct and facilitate root cause investigations; implement corrective actions.
• Create and revise engineering drawings to align requirements with manufacturability.
• Drive standardization to reduce repeat analyses of nonconformance conditions.
• Document lessons learned and communicate findings across teams.
• Document improvement initiatives to strengthen ESTO processes and reduce hardware nonconformance rates.
