Job summary

CMTA, a Legence Company, offers a robust co-op program for Mechanical and Architectural Engineering students. The role provides hands-on training in mechanical/HVAC design, with mentorship by Professional Engineers, working on real CMTA projects and developing construction drawings in AutoCAD and Revit.

The position is full-time, onsite, 40 hours per week, starting May 2027 and extending through Summer 2027, with potential for continued opportunities upon graduation. Paid overtime may apply.

Qualifications

• This co-op seeks a student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
• Strong interest in Building Systems Mechanical Engineering and teamwork.
• AutoCAD and REVIT experience preferred; good communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to work independently and on a team.
• Ability to work full time onsite throughout the co-op term and travel locally for inspections.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed layout and equipment details of HVAC systems.
• Create one-line diagrams/schematics for projects.
• Assist in assembling organized sets of drawings with the design team.
• Support data collection and field verification activities.
• Collaborate with designers and engineers on project development.
