Job summary

HDR is seeking a Mechanical Designer/EIT to help deliver mechanical systems for commercial and institutional projects. You will coordinate HVAC, plumbing, and building systems, write specifications, and develop energy analyses using software.

Ideal candidates have a Mechanical Engineering degree, Revit experience, and a drive to mentor others. You will support BIM documentation, review shop drawings, and collaborate with architects and other engineers to bring projects from concept to

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Proficiency with Revit is required.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Trane TRACE or similar software.
Active participant in our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

Coordinate mechanical aspects of commercial or institutional projects.
Prepare construction documents for HVAC and plumbing design.
Develop BIM documentation using CAD software.
Supervise Mechanical CAD Technicians and coordinate with architectural staff and other disciplines.
Take responsibility for construction contract administration including shop drawing review, RFIs, field inspections, and issue resolution.
Work independently on small projects or assist senior engineers on larger projects.
