Job summary
HDR, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to coordinate mechanical aspects of commercial projects and perform routine assignments using standard techniques. You will write specifications, select systems, and develop HVAC loads with engineering software.
You will prepare construction documents for HVAC/ plumbing design, assist BIM documentation, and collaborate with architects and other engineers on various projects. Strong communication and detail orientation are essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering is required.
- Master's degree in Architectural Engineering with Mechanical emphasis preferred.
- EIT certification required or candidate will be Mechanical Designer.
- Proficiency with CAD/BIM tools and engineering software.
- Experience with HVAC systems design and energy analysis is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate mechanical aspects of commercial or institutional projects.
- Perform routine mechanical engineering tasks using standard techniques.
- Write and edit mechanical specifications; select systems and devices.
- Develop HVAC loads and energy analyses with engineering software.
