Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation, Inc. is seeking an engineering intern to assist a range of engineers in mechanical design and development. You will work with CATIA, support prototype builds, and contribute to weight and performance analyses.

The internship emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, exposure to supplier/customer interactions, and hands-on product development across vehicle platforms.

Qualifications

• Student working towards a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field for the internship.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are expected.
• Prior internship or work experience is a plus.
• Experience with CATIA or Pro-E is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle component layouts using CAD software, e.g., CATIA.
• Select parts for weight, cost, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Follow prototype/production builds and provide technical assistance on the floor.
• Generate weight, stress, and performance calculations.
• Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to solve problems.
• Test complete vehicles or components and assist with ECNs in PLM.
• Design, model, and test new mechanical systems for vehicle integration.
• Update bill of materials in the PLM/PDM system.
