Job summary

Pierce Manufacturing, part of Oshkosh, offers an internship in mechanical design within our engineering department. You will assist engineers and designers with design tasks to keep operations flowing smoothly.

Expect hands-on work creating 3D models and drawings, supporting BOMs, and assisting with engineering change notices. You will rely on CATIA and other CAD tools, learning standards and measurement practices.

Qualifications

• Student working towards an Associate's degree for the duration of internship.
• Enrollment in Mechanical Design or related program required.
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail expected.

Responsibilities

• Create engineering 3D models, 2D drawings, and electrical schematics using CAD.
• Create Bills of Material to support production and new product development.
• Create Engineering Change Notices to release new or revised models.
• Assist with material selection for engineered parts.
• Adhere to SOPs, CAD procedures, and drafting standards.
