Job summary

Oshkosh AeroTech, an Oshkosh company, seeks an Engineering Intern to assist a range of engineers (design, production, manufacturing, industrial, test) in mechanical engineering functions for the GSE team. You'll help with layouts, part selection, and on-floor support for prototypes and production builds.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, with strong teamwork and communication skills, and familiarity with CAD tools (CATIA or Pro/E) considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field for the duration of the internship.
• Ability to work productively in a diverse environment.
• Experience with CAD tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle component layouts using CAD software (e.g., CATIA).
• Select parts for weight, cost, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Support prototype, pilot, or production builds on the assembly floor.
• Create engineering calculations for weight distribution and stress analysis.
• Update bill of materials in PLM system.
