Ridgemont Resources, Inc. in New Jersey is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with 3–4 years of SolidWorks design experience to design water and wastewater equipment and create fabrication drawings. Most work involves conveyors, with the challenge of tackling equipment the company has not built before.

You will design in SolidWorks, consult with fabricators, and incorporate their input to improve manufacturability. This 100% onsite role is in Morris County; relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• 3–4 years of mechanical design experience.
• Proficient in SolidWorks; essential for all design & fabrication drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; able to design beyond drawing.
• Accurate, detail-oriented drawings; comfortable reviewing with fabricators.
• Local to northern New Jersey; onsite in Morris County; relocation not offered.
• Conveyors or similar fabricated equipment experience preferred.
• Water/wastewater background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design water and wastewater equipment in SolidWorks and produce fabrication drawings for the shop.
• Determine how to build customer solutions, including equipment not previously made.
• Lead conveyor designs from requirements through released drawings.
• Visit the fabrication shop to review plans, track progress, and resolve build questions.
• Prepare drawings for outside fabricators with required detail.
