Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in product design and development in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, plumbing, fabrication, assembly).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T basics.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in the water industry is a plus.
• Experience in fluid dynamics a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and specify components for use in ElectraMet wastewater treatment systems
• Develop 3D CAD models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using SolidWorks
• Assist in the design of tooling, fixtures, and custom mechanical components for manufacturing processes
• Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure designs meet manufacturability and performance requirements
• Support prototype and production builds, testing, and validation activities
• Revise and maintain engineering documentation, BOMs, and drawing revisions
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and reduce costs
• Troubleshoot design-related issues on the shop floor and implement design improvements
