Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Mechanical Systems team with a focus on solids-handling at water and wastewater plants. You will design equipment and systems and lead project execution with a collaborative, interdisciplinary team across the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience on solids-handling projects.
• Active engineering registration or licensure to support EOR where required.
• Experience with water and wastewater solids-handling facilities.

Responsibilities

• Design solids-handling systems for water and wastewater facilities.
• Lead a mechanical engineering team on projects, managing scope, budget and schedule.
• Prepare piping and instrumentation diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and review submittals for compliance.
• Ensure compliance with codes and BV QA/QC procedures.
