Collins Aerospace in Rockford, IL is seeking an Engineer II, Mechanical Design Engineering, to design test equipment and systems for MPC and aerospace products. You will lead test equipment activities from build to commissioning and ensure designs meet specs and budgets.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop calibration requirements, and drive lean improvements in testing and manufacturing. A STEM degree and 2+ years' experience are required; the role is onsite in Rockford.

Formación

• Typically requires a STEM degree and minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in designing mechanical rotating equipment is preferred.
• AutoCAD and NX (Siemens) proficiency is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Design test equipment and systems for MPC applications.
• Lead test equipment activities from build to commissioning.
• Review test results and recommend modifications to meet specs and test objectives.
• Develop performance, maintenance, and calibration requirements for test stands and equipment.
• Participate in peer reviews of specifications, designs, and concepts for test equipment.
• Collaborate with Product Engineers, Program Managers, Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Operations Managers.
