Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Rockford, IL is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support FAA repair station activities, ram air turbines, and LRUs. The role emphasizes MRO engineering tasks, data reviews, and providing clear technical instructions for repairs and modifications.

You will work onsite with cross-functional teams to drive improvements, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver cost-saving solutions across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Prior engineering or operations experience within a manufacturing or repair industry.
• Engineering Degree - preferably Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Experience with mechanical systems and/or product support is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support MRO engineering activities related to the Aftermarket Separation Agreement for affected MRO products.
• Review repair data, technical drawings, and history for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Provide technical instructions for repairs or modifications to teams and authorities.
• Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
