Job summary

Fives Intralogistics is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design equipment and installation drawings, manage technical aspects of small to medium integration projects, and ensure deliverables meet scope, schedule and budget with emphasis on safety and quality.

The role requires leading technical teams, selecting OEM equipment, and coordinating across supply chain, production and field installation teams. Strong 2D CAD and project-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 3–5 years related experience
• Proficient with AutoCAD 2015 or higher
• Demonstrated technical leadership on medium to large scale projects
• Directly managed a technical team of 1–3 resources
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Proficient in MS Project or equivalent
• Pneumatics knowledge a plus
• PLM/ERP software knowledge a plus

Responsibilities

• Prepare scope of work and technical specification documents during project proposal and execution phase.
• Review and select appropriate Fives & OEM equipment to satisfy project functional requirements.
• Review and verify system design for compliance with engineering principles, standards, and customer specs.
• Ensure all project tasks, milestones, budgets are defined, communicated, reported and met.
• Provide technical leadership to supply chain, production and field installation personnel.
• Complete and communicate progress and budget/schedule reports.
• Break down projects into tasks with the SCRUM Master.
• Other duties as needed by supervisor.
