Job summary

Fives Group seeks an Electrical Designer to lead the complete electrical design of machines, including schematics, power cabinet layout, and wiring integration. The role collaborates with mechanical engineers and controls vendors to deliver on project schedules and compliant designs.

You will develop and maintain documentation, ensure adherence to NFPA 79, UL 508A, IEC 60204-1, and work with PLM (Agile) and SAP ERP systems, while improving product performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required
• 3–5 years related experience
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and 14001
• Ability to work timely and accurately
• Understand electrical standards NFPA 79, UL 508A, IEC 60204-1
• Familiarity with PLM (Agile) and ERP (SAP) systems

Responsibilities

• Meet project or machine release schedules, complete designs and parts lists on time
• Provide accurate drawings per industry standards
• Design electricals including control cabinets, wiring, and schematics
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers and vendors on new product development
• Assist in PLC hardware applications and third‑party control concepts
• Develop specifications and documentation for electrical designs
• Maintain knowledge of new control methods and standards
