Northrop Grumman is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer Level 2 for its Sunnyvale, CA location within the Launcher Hardware team. You will design and model launcher hardware, generate engineering drawings, and support evaluation and testing efforts to enable Navy platform opportunities.

The role requires on-site presence, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. Travel and collaboration with internal stakeholders are expected as projects advance.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 2 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree in STEM with no required experience.
• Experience in machine design and drawing generation
• US citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a US government Secret clearance

• Develop designs and generate solid models reflecting concepts.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders balancing technical, schedule, and cost requirements.
• Conduct trade studies to select and evaluate best design approaches to fulfill requirements.
• Oversee the generation of engineering drawings using GD&T practices.
• Identify procurement needs and support fabrication.
• Provide assembly checkout and test support.
• Occasional domestic travel may be required
