Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Sunnyvale, CA, seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer Level 2/3 to support launcher hardware manufacturing and installation. You will generate engineering drawings and CAD models, coordinating with multiple disciplines to resolve issues end-to-end.

The role requires a STEM BS with 2+ years (or MS with less), CAD proficiency (NX/CREO/SolidWorks), US citizenship, and ability to obtain a Secret clearance; swing shift support is included.

Qualifications

• BS in STEM with 2+ years relevant work experience; or MS in STEM.
• Experience in machine design and drawing generation.
• Experience with CAD modeling (NX, CREO, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
• Familiar with PLM systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the generation of engineering drawings using common GD&T practices.
• Identify procurement needs and support fabrication.
• Provide assembly checkout and test support.
• Drive issue resolutions both onsite and with vendors.
• Coordinate with various disciplines to resolve issues.
