Job summary

Körber Supply Chain in Irving, TX is seeking a Project Engineer II (Mechanical) to own and execute mechanical design work packages for automation and material handling system integration projects. You will design and release mechanical assemblies, layouts, and documentation, ensuring alignment with requirements and manufacturability.

You will collaborate with controls, electrical, and software teams, perform analyses, and support FAT/SAT and commissioning, with travel up to 30% to customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of mechanical design experience in automation, capital equipment, or material handling.
• Proven ability to deliver mechanical designs that integrate into complex systems on time and to scope.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and release of mechanical assemblies, layouts, and BOMs within larger system projects.
• Ensure mechanical designs align with system-level requirements, manufacturability, and cost targets.
• Perform calculations, tolerance analysis, and design reviews to guarantee reliability of equipment.
• Collaborate with controls, electrical, and software teams to align system integration.
• Support FAT, SAT, and commissioning through hands-on troubleshooting and validation.
• Interface with suppliers, offshore teams, and manufacturing to ensure designs are built and installed successfully.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers.
