Job summary

Körber in Irving, TX invites a Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer to lead design and development of mechanical systems from concept to production, ensuring performance and compliance. The role collaborates with Sales, Product Owners, and engineering teams to translate customer needs into detailed equipment designs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and developing complex mechanical systems.
• Experience with engineering analysis and simulation tools.
• Experience with 3D CAD software for detailed design and documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Sensitive Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of mechanical systems from concept to production.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product Owners, and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into designs.
• Perform calculations, analyses, and simulations to validate designs and optimize performance.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, BOMs, and assembly packages.
• Partner with Electrical and Controls teams for system integration.
• Engage with suppliers and customers to support design reviews and procurement, using SAP and other tools.
• Analyze data on performance, throughput, and costs to drive improvements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
