Job summary

Körber is seeking a Project Engineer II (Mechanical) to own mechanical design work packages for automation and material handling system integration. The role includes design release of assemblies, layouts, and BOMs for multi‑discipline projects, with on‑site validation and collaboration across teams in a hybrid, Atlanta/Irving setting.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and 2–5 years' experience, strong CAD skills (Inventor/AutoCAD/SolidWorks), plus travel up

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• 2–5 years of mechanical design experience in automation, capital equipment, or material handling.
• Proven ability to deliver mechanical designs that integrate into complex systems on time and to scope.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling and mechanical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and release of mechanical assemblies, layouts, and BOMs within system projects.
• Ensure designs meet system requirements, manufacturability, and cost targets.
• Perform calculations, tolerance analysis, and design reviews for reliability.
• Collaborate with controls, electrical, and software teams for system integration.
• Support FAT, SAT, and commissioning through hands-on troubleshooting and validation.
• Interface with suppliers and manufacturing to ensure build and installation.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and feedback on future designs.
• Travel up to 30% to support customer integration.
