Job summary

Körber is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead execution-based engineering for large-scale system integration projects in the U.S. You will act as the primary technical contact, translating requirements into actionable plans and coordinating across Mechanical, Controls, Electrical, and Software teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of system-level engineering experience, preferably in material handling, automation, or capital equipment environments.
• Experience with 3D CAD tools (Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and developing full technical data packages (drawings, BOMs, manuals).
• Ability to balance design intent with execution realities, managing scope, cost, and resource constraints.
• Collaborative, hands-on mindset capable of thriving in fast-paced environments where outcomes matter.
• Strong track record in project execution—owning technical delivery from engineering through on-site installation.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally; valid passport for international travel.
• Authorized to work in the United States; visas sponsorship not available for this role.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution-based engineering for large-scale system integration projects; serve as primary technical point of contact for customers and internal teams.
• Translate requirements into actionable engineering plans; coordinate mechanical design, equipment specs, and on-site implementation.
• Collaborate across Mechanical, Controls, Electrical, and Software to align deliverables and troubleshoot issues.
• Manage engineering execution from kick-off through commissioning, including site support, FAT/SAT participation, and field issue resolution.
• Oversee internal and external engineering resources, including offshore teams or outsourced partners per project.
• Apply knowledge of conveyor, singulation, sortation, and other material handling technologies to ensure system performance.
• Coordinate with Sales, Product, and Manufacturing to validate feasibility, cost, and scope during planning.
• Travel up to 30% to support customer integration projects.
