Job summary

Körber is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead customer-facing system integration projects from concept to commissioning. You will drive execution for complex material handling systems, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with strong customer engagement.

The role requires a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering and at least five years in system-level engineering, with CAD proficiency and hands-on project delivery experience. Hybrid work is offered near Irving, TX, with travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of system-level engineering experience in material handling, automation, or capital equipment.
• Experience with 3D CAD tools (Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and creating full technical data packages.
• Ability to manage scope, cost, and resources across projects.
• Collaborative, hands-on mindset in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution-based engineering for large-scale system integration projects.
• Translate requirements into actionable engineering plans across mechanical, controls, electrical, and software.
• Coordinate across disciplines to align deliverables and drive schedule.
• Manage engineering execution from kick-off through commissioning, including site support and FAT/SAT.
• Oversee internal and external engineering resources, including offshore teams or partners.
• Apply understanding of conveyor, singulation, sortation, and material handling technologies.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Manufacturing to validate feasibility, cost, and scope.
• Travel up to 30% to support projects.
