Job summary

Textron Systems is seeking a Full-time Mechanical Engineer II/III to join the Weapon Systems team. The role focuses on mechanical design for military applications, integrating components into assemblies, and delivering formal data packages.

The candidate must be a US citizen capable of obtaining a Secret clearance, with experience in 3D CAD, GD&T, and DFMA. Collaboration with suppliers and multi-discipline teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience designing mechanical components and systems for aerospace/military applications.
• Ability to generate product specifications and mass property reports.
• Demonstrated DFMA skills are a plus.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD design and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.

Responsibilities

• Participate in detailed design of structural components.
• Develop integration of mechanical components and systems.
• Create Technical Data Packages with 3D drawings, specs and materials lists.
• Prepare and direct high-quality detailed and assembly drawings.
• Transition product design to production and test.
• Write technical and proposal documents.
• Create design reports and presentations summarizing results.
