Job summary

Textron Systems is seeking a Full time Mechanical Engineer II/III in Hunt Valley, MD to join the Weapons Systems team. The role focuses on mechanical design for military applications, integrating component design into assemblies, and coordinating with suppliers within a multidisciplinary group.

Candidates should have BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, 2 years (Level II) or 5 years (Level III) of related experience, CAD with 3D tools, GD&T, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• This role requires strong CAD design skills and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Experience designing mechanical components and assemblies for aerospace/defense is preferred.
• Proficiency with Siemens NX and Teamcenter is desired.

Responsibilities

• Participating in detailed design of structural components.
• Leading development and integration of mechanical components and systems.
• Creating Technical Data Packages with 3D drawings, specs and materials.
• Preparing and directing high-quality detailed drawings for production and testing.
• Transitioning design to production and test.
• Writing technical and proposal documents.
• Creating design reports and presentations of results.
