Job summary

Textron Systems is seeking a Full time Mechanical Engineer II/III with experience in mechanical design for military applications. Candidate must have strong communication and presentation skills and work with suppliers in a multidisciplinary team.

Must be a US citizen capable of obtaining a Secret clearance. Responsibilities include detailed design of structural components, design integration, and creation of Technical Data Packages for mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies.

Qualifications

• CAD design using 3D digital tools with GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Experience in mechanical/structure design for aeroshells under high loading/thermal gradients.
• Design high-temperature parts with thermal strain considerations.
• DFMA skills and ability to generate performance specs and reports.
• Proficiency in NX and Teamcenter for lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Detail design of structural components.
• Design integration of mechanical components and systems.
• Create Technical Data Packages with 3D drawings, specs and materials lists.
• Prepare high quality mechanical and electro-mechanical drawings.
• Transition product design to production and test.
• Write technical and proposal documents.
• Create design reports and presentations summarizing results.
