Job summary

Textron Systems is seeking a Full-time Mechanical Engineer with a focus on military applications. The ideal candidate will design mechanical components and assemblies, integrate them into larger systems, and prepare technical data packages for production and testing.

Strong CAD (NX) skills, GD&T, and experience with manufacturing processes are essential. US citizenship and ability to obtain a secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Requires design of mechanical components and systems for extreme conditions.
• Experience with aerospace/defense hardware desirable.
• Strong CAD and documentation skills required.
• Familiarity with DFMA and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Participate in detailed design of structural components.
• Develop and integrate mechanical components and systems.
• Create Technical Data Packages with 3D drawings, specs and materials lists.
• Prepare and direct high quality mechanical and electro-mechanical drawings.
• Transition product design to production and test.
• Write technical and proposal documents.
• Create detailed design reports and presentations of results.
