Job summary

Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. in Houston, TX is seeking an entry-level Designer I, Mechanical OG to join our engineering team. The role involves supporting CAD drafting, preparing drawings, and assisting engineers with project deliverables under supervision.

You will work to learn mechanical design principles, industry standards, and company procedures, contributing to accurate documentation and cross-disciplinary collaboration on oil & gas projects.

Qualifications

• Entry level position, 0–2 years of mechanical design or CAD/engineering support experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with drafting standards and design practices preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assist with CAD drafting and preparation of drawings, models, and schematics based on standards and vendor info.
• Support engineers and senior designers in development and coordination of project deliverables.
• Assist with mechanical equipment and piping layouts, drawings, and related documentation.
