Job summary

Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. in Houston, TX is seeking a Designer I, I&C OG to provide entry-level technical design support for instrumentation and control systems in Oil & Gas projects.

You will assist engineers and designers in creating drawings, wiring diagrams, and documentation, under direct supervision while building proficiency. Ideal candidates have an associate degree or technical certificate and basic CAD drafting knowledge, plus strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position with 0–2 years of instrumentation and controls or CAD drafting experience.
• Basic knowledge of CAD software and engineering drafting principles.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with CAD drafting and preparation of instrumentation and controls drawings, schematics, and documentation.
• Support engineers and senior designers in development, revision, and coordination of deliverables.
• Prepare instrument location plans, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, panel layouts, and related documentation.
• Learn and apply company and industry standards for instrumentation and control systems.
