Job summary
Bowman is seeking an entry-level Designer I, Electrical OG in Houston, TX to provide CAD drafting and design support for electrical systems in Oil & Gas projects. You will assist engineers and designers with drawings, schematics, and layouts under supervision, while building proficiency in electrical design principles and industry standards.
The role emphasizes collaboration, attention to detail, and timely delivery of design deliverables as part of multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certificate or bachelor’s in electrical tech or drafting.
- 0–2 years of electrical design/CAD drafting experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of CAD software and engineering drafting principles.
- Familiarity with power distribution, electrical equipment and conduit.
Responsibilities
- Assist with CAD drafting for electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts.
- Support engineers in development, revision, and coordination of project deliverables.
- Develop power distribution, grounding, lighting, conduit layouts.
- Learn and apply company and industry standards for O&G facility design.
- Maintain project files and participate in design reviews and meetings.
