Job summary

Bowman Houston is seeking a Designer I, Mechanical OG to support design drafting and documentation within the Oil & Gas sector. You will assist engineers and senior designers, develop drawings and layouts, and learn industry standards under supervision.

The role emphasizes CAD drafting, attention to detail, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams in a hands-on entry-level environment with growth opportunities at Bowman.

Qualifications

• Associate/technical/bachelor degree in engineering technology, drafting or design preferred.
• 0–2 years of relevant mechanical design, CAD, or engineering support experience a plus.
• Basic knowledge of CAD software and engineering drafting principles.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and related software applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with CAD drafting and preparation of drawings, models, and schematics.
• Support engineers and senior designers in development and coordination of project deliverables.
• Assist with mechanical equipment and piping layouts, drawings, and related documentation.
• Learn and apply company, client and industry drafting standards and design practices.
• Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback from project team members.
• Support BOM development and project drawing packages.
