Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Knightdale, NC is seeking a Mechanical Assembler Level II to build and assemble Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment, such as switchgears, switchboards and breakers.

Shift hours 6:00am-2:30pm and hourly rate $20.36. Requires 2+ years in mechanical assembly, tool proficiency, torque wrench use, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or related field.
• 1+ years using hand and power tools (pneumatic and battery).
• Knowledge of torque wrenches and torque values.
• Experience with tape measures and measuring devices.
• Able to identify mechanical parts and electrical components.
• Able to lift parts/sub-assemblies up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Basic proficiency in English (reading/writing/speaking).
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and sub-assemblies of steel components and parts kits.
• Read BOMs, follow layouts and assembly drawings.
• Set and use torque wrenches per process; seek improvements.
• Follow EH&S policies and work as part of a team.
• Perform additional duties assigned by Supervisor or Management.
