Job summary

Powell in North Canton, OH is seeking an Assembler II to build mechanical components for switchgear and breakers, following engineering drawings and specifications. You will use various hand and power tools, perform in-process inspections, and maintain a clean, organized workspace while meeting quality standards.

You will work with a small team under supervision, learn to read drawings and BOMs, and help ensure on-time delivery through careful assembly, safety compliance, and effective

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Ability to read a tape measure (including fractions, decimals, and metric conversions).
• Able to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Lift up to 50 lbs using proper lifting techniques.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow ISO/work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble mechanical components for switchgear and/or breaker units according to drawings and specs.
• Perform maintenance and proper use of tools.
• Conduct in-process inspections to ensure quality and identify risks to product quality.
• Assist in a small team to complete tasks as assigned by lead assembler or supervisor.
• Promote safety and participate in safety meetings.
