Job summary

Siemens in Wendell, NC is seeking a Mechanical Assembler Level 2 for our Retrofit Team. You will assemble low and medium voltage electrical distribution equipment, including switchgears, switchboards and breakers, and ensure quality in every step of the build.

The role features a 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM shift, with an hourly rate of $20.36. Candidates should have 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience and be able to lift up to 50 lbs, while maintaining a safety-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly.
• 1+ years using hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of torque wrench and torque values.
• Experience with measuring devices including a tape measure.
• Able to identify mechanical parts and electrical components.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, sub-assemblies, parts kits, and aftermarket parts orders, including mechanical assembly of steel components.
• Record job transactions, read BOMs, follow layouts and assembly drawings.
• Set and use torque wrenches correctly, adhering to developed processes and seeking ways to improve.
• Adherence to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies, with a commitment to continuous improvement and be a strong team player.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
