Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Mechanical Assembler in Wisconsin for assembling mechanical tank equipment, wiring, and conduit. You will read blueprints, work from schematics, and ensure assemblies meet design and quality standards.

Training on multiple shifts is available to support production goals. You will operate hand and power tools, stage materials, and document maintenance needs while collaborating with a large team to maintain a safe, efficient production environment.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience using hand and power tools.
  • 2+ years reading blueprints and schematics for mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment with safe tool use.
  • Ability to follow schedules and maintain organized work areas.
  • Ability to write clear maintenance work orders and communicate with team.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical tank equipment per blueprints and design specs.
  • Perform wiring and install conduit as part of assemblies.

Job Title: Mechanical Assembler $30hr

Job Description

This role involves assembling mechanical tank equipment, including wiring and conduit, performing repairs on units, parts, and materials, and ensuring all assemblies meet design and quality standards. You will work from schedules, blueprints, and schematics, organize materials and tools, and contribute to a clean, safe, and efficient production environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble mechanical tank equipment according to blueprints, schematics, and design specifications.

  • Perform wiring and install conduit as part of mechanical assemblies.

  • Carry out repairs on units, parts, and materials to restore proper function and quality.

  • Read and interpret production schedules and workflow requirements to plan and prioritize daily tasks.

  • Retrieve and stage materials from storage areas to support efficient assembly operations.

  • Inspect completed assemblies to verify conformance with design criteria and quality standards.

  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during assembly and repair work.

  • Maintain organized tools and keep the work area clean, orderly, and free of hazards.

  • Write and submit maintenance work orders when issues or defects require further attention.

  • Collaborate with team members and follow instructions from leads or supervisors to meet production goals.

Essential Skills
  • At least 2 years of mechanical assembly experience using basic hand and power tools.

  • At least 2 years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints.

  • Ability to read and understand schematics for mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

  • Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Proficiency using hand tools and power tools safely and accurately.

  • Ability to perform general labor tasks related to assembly and material handling.

  • Capability to read and follow schedules and workflow requirements.

  • Strong attention to detail when inspecting assemblies for conformance to design criteria.

  • Ability to write clear and accurate maintenance work orders.

  • Organizational skills to keep tools and work area orderly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • 1+ year of experience with hydraulic systems (preferred, not required).

  • 1+ year of experience with pneumatic systems (preferred, not required).

  • Experience working from mechanical blueprints and detailed schematics.

  • Prior experience in a unionized manufacturing environment is an asset.

  • Comfort working on multiple shifts, including evenings and nights.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills in a large production team.

Work Environment

This position is based in a large, very clean, and well-organized manufacturing setting. The role primarily operates on 2nd shift (3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.) or 3rd shift (11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.), with initial training provided on 1st shift (7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) for approximately 2 to 6 months. Overtime typically occurs every other Saturday, and Sundays are never mandatory. You will work as part of a sizable production team, with around 60 assemblers on each shift, using mechanical assembly tools, wiring and conduit equipment, and standard industrial resources. The dress code requires steel-toed shoes, jeans, and safety glasses to support a safe and professional work environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $63876.80 - $63876.80/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
