Aerotek is hiring a Production Operator for our Appleton, WI facility. You will assemble circuit boards and sub-assemblies, operate production machinery, and follow computer-based work instructions to ensure quality.

You’ll log into several programs, perform quality checks, and support packaging tasks as needed in a climate-controlled environment. The role emphasizes adherence to detailed procedures, teamwork, and a willingness to learn new tools and processes.

Qualifications

• 1 year of assembly experience preferred.
• 1–2 years of soldering experience is beneficial.
• Experience with picking and packaging is helpful.
• Background in customer service is valued.

• Willingness to work multiple 1st shift schedules.

Job Title: Production Operator

Join a clean, climate-controlled production facility as a Production Operator, assembling circuit boards and sub-assemblies used in a variety of applications. You will work with hand tools and production machinery to build high-quality products, follow computer-based work instructions, and perform quality checks to ensure each assembly meets established standards.

Responsibilities

• Assemble circuit boards and sub-assemblies using hand tools such as screwdrivers, torque drivers, and wrenches.
• Operate production machinery to print solder paste and work with smaller components according to defined procedures.
• Follow detailed, computer-based, step-by-step instructions for each assembly process.
• Log into and navigate multiple computer programs at the same time to access the correct instructions and documentation.
• Perform quality checks on completed work before moving assemblies to the next step in the production process.
• Handle general production tasks, including basic assembly, picking, and packaging as needed.
• Use soldering techniques when required, applying solder to components safely and accurately.
• Communicate effectively with team members and leads to clarify instructions and ensure smooth workflow.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with facility guidelines.
• Follow all safety procedures while using tools, machinery, and computer equipment.

Essential Skills

• Ability to use basic hand tools, including screwdrivers, torque drivers, and wrenches, in a production environment.
• Comfort working with production machinery for tasks such as printing solder paste on components.
• Capability to use basic computer programs daily and navigate multiple software applications simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and commitment to performing thorough quality checks on assemblies.
• General production experience, including assembly, picking, and packaging tasks.
• Basic soldering skills and familiarity with working with solder and small components.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Approximately 1 year of assembly experience preferred.
• 1–2 years of soldering experience is highly beneficial and can lead to higher starting pay.
• Any amount of picking and packaging experience is helpful in this role.
• Background in customer service roles is valued, as individuals with this experience tend to perform well.
• Ability to learn new tools, machinery, and processes through on-the-job training.
• Willingness to work multiple schedule options within 1st shift based on business and personal needs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Appleton, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.30/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
