Job summary

Central Transport, a leading Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) carrier, is seeking an entry level mechanic to help maintain our fleet of over 2,200 tractors, 8,500 trailers, and 1,700 forklifts across the United States and Canada. This role offers hands-on training and the potential to learn a skilled trade while starting pay between $22 and $26 per hour.

Work includes removing decals for repair, performing minor trailer body work, and supporting a growing nationwide network.

• Prior mechanic experience in the auto industry is a plus

Responsibilities Include:

• Removing decals from trailers to be repaired
• Minor body work on trailers
• Other duties assigned

Physical Requirements:

• Work is considered heavy physical work requiring exertion of 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently and up to 20 pounds of force consistently to move objects.
• Must possess strength, stamina and mobility to perform heavy physical work.
• Must be able to: walk, lift, reach, stoop, stand, grasp, balance, climb, kneel and crouch for extended periods of time

Prior mechanic experience in the auto industry is a plus!
