Job summary

Volt is actively hiring Electrical and Mechanical Refurbishment Technicians in Mabank, Texas. This full-time, temp-to-hire role offers Monday–Friday 1pm–9:45pm with lots of overtime and Saturday work.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of mechanical or electrical experience. Mechanical or diesel/aviation backgrounds are a plus, as are electrical certificates. Strong interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude are valued, along with ability to pass background checks and drug tests.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of mechanical or electrical skills.
• Ideal: diesel mechanical/auto/aerospace experience but not required.
• Experience as electrician helper or with electrical certificates is a plus.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills; can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Teardown and rebuilding of turbine engines.
• Turn wrenches to assemble/disassemble equipment and install mechanical parts.
• Assist with cabling, wiring, testing, and sub-assembly; build up consoles with PLCs and other devices.

Volt is immediately hiring Multiple Electrical and Mechanical Refurbishment Technicians in Mabank, Texas.

As an Electrical or Mechanical Refurbishment Technician, you will

• Teardown and rebuilding of turbine engines
• Mechanical will entail turning wrenches to assemble and disassemble equipment and industrial equipment, installations of mechanical parts and components
• Electrical will assist with cabling, wiring, testing, assembly and sub-assembly; build up consoles which include PLC's, input/output modules, power supplies, terminal strips and other electrical devices

This is a full-time, temp to hire opportunity. Schedule: Monday - Friday 1pm - 9:45pm. We offer LOTS of overtime and Saturday work.

The ideal candidate will have

• 1 - 2 years of recent mechanical or electrical skills
• Ideal experience for Mechanical side but not required: experience working as a diesel mechanical or auto mechanic, aviation mechanic or any type of mechanical role where you had to turn wrenches all day.
• Ideal experience for Electrical side but not required: experience as an electrician helper, certificates in electrical or electrical assembly with wiring or cabling
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Can-do attitude.
• Ability to pass a 7-year criminal background and drug screen

Pay Rate*: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour DOE

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
