Volt is seeking a Wiring Technician in West Chester, Ohio for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity. You will install electrical wiring for switchgears, UPS, panels, lighting, switches, outlets and transformers, and fit conduits and cable trays.

The ideal candidate reads blueprints, understands electrical systems, and can use hand and power tools and diagnostic meters. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read blueprints.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Skilled with test meters and diagnostic equipment.
• Must read and speak English.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Install wiring for switchgears, UPS, panels, lighting, switches, outlets and transformers.
• Install conduits, electrical wires, and cables.
• Ensure conduit install complies with electrical codes.
• Install Ladder cable trays and Basket cable trays.
• Install circuit breakers and connect wiring.
• Install power feeders to equipment.
• Install branch circuits.
• Inspect electrical systems to ensure code compliance.
• Install low voltage/control wiring.
• Terminate power feeders, branch circuits, and control wiring.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Wiring Technician

This is a Full Time - Temp to Hire opportunity.

As a Wiring Technician you will:

• Install electrical wiring systems for switchgears, UPS, panelboards, lighting, switches, outlets and transformers
• Install conduits, electrical wires, and cables
• Ensure conduit install complies with electrical codes
• Install Ladder cable trays, and Basket cable trays
• Install Circuit breaker and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them
• Install power feeders to equipment's
• Install branch circuits
• Inspect electrical systems to ensure proper installation is up to code
• Install low voltage/control wiring
• Terminate power feeders (compression lugs), branch circuits, and control wiring
• Perform other related duties as assigned

The ideal Wiring Technician will have:

• Ability to read blueprints
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools
• Proficiency in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment
• Ability to read and speak English
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders
• Capability of pulling wires and cables through conduits, and cable trays
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds at a time

Pay Rate: $22.50 per hour

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
