Job Summary

Our Meat Team Leader manages the entire Meat Team and ensures smooth operation. Leaders are responsible for the department's performance at all times. Be a leader by representing the organization professionally. Promote and develop individuals with mutual respect, inclusion, diversity, and dignity. Coach team members regularly with timely feedback, identify development opportunities, and coach for success.

Job Description

• Experience Required: Retail work experience or Store Leader recommendation; Meat Cutting
• Experience Desired: Retail leadership or supervisory experience; Performance as a Peer Trainer or similar role; Performance as an in-store champion (e.g., safety, service, wellness); Relevant product knowledge; Good performance and discipline record
• Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification or Licensing Required: Meat Cutting, Meat Processing, or Meat Science
• Lifting Requirement: Up to 100 pounds
• Travel Required: None
• Age Requirement: At least 18 years of age

Job Responsibilities

• Key duties include: interviewing, selecting, training team members; directing work; appraising productivity; handling issues; discipline; planning and assigning work; ensuring safety; managing budgets and inventory; monitoring compliance.
• Oversee and evaluate training to reduce turnover, promote efficiency, and control labor costs.
• Provide motivational leadership, focusing on respect and setting an example.
• Identify team strengths and opportunities; think strategically in scheduling.
• Develop future leaders and recognize team members poised for growth.
• Foster an environment of inclusion and diversity, giving each team member a voice.
• Maintain safety as the top priority for team members, guests, and products.
• Inspire the team and guests with a passion for food and commitment to excellence.
• Set and achieve sales and profit goals, manage shrink.
• Communicate effectively with the team and merchandising to ensure proper promotion communication.
• Suggest improvements to enhance business performance.
• Review financial reports, analyze store performance, and monitor inventory and shrink.
