Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Meat Manager to lead one of the busiest teams in our store, ensuring exceptional customer service and accurate meat and seafood operations. You will support the Meat Manager in merchandising, inventory, and staff development to maintain high standards of freshness and quality.

The role requires leadership experience in grocery retail, strong communication, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a basic knowledge of math, weights and measures.
• 2+ years of professional experience; 2-3 years grocery retail experience in Meat department preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Excellent customer service, positive attitude, and teamwork.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 90 lbs; work in temperature controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Meat & Seafood Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory control, product quality, and supervision of the Meat & Seafood team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales; help hire, train, and develop staff.
• Ensure adherence to safety, health, sanitation, and company policies; follow 'Clean as You Go' and 'Fresh at 4' programs.
