Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Meat Manager to support the Meat & Seafood department in delivering high-quality products and excellent customer service. You will help lead a busy team, oversee merchandising, and ensure accuracy in ordering and inventory, all while maintaining freshness and compliance with safety standards.

The role requires 2+ years in grocery retail Meat, strong leadership, and the ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with basic math knowledge.
• Minimum 2 years professional experience; 2–3 years grocery retail Meat department experience preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Must be able to stand up to 4 hours and lift 25–90 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Meat & Seafood Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Meat & Seafood team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Meat & Seafood team.
• Enforce and follow department practices for receiving, stocking, unloading, and ensuring freshness and quality.
