Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Meat Manager to support the Meat & Seafood Manager in leading one of the store’s busiest teams. You’ll drive product quality, schedule, and guest service while ensuring freshness and compliance with safety standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, training, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities for growth within the department.

Qualifications

• Requires 2+ years of professional experience; 2-3 years grocery retail experience in Meat department preferred.
• Must be dependable and reliable with ability to interact with customers.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; strong communication and teamwork.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 90 lbs and operate department equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Meat & Seafood Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Meat & Seafood team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Meat & Seafood team.
• Enforce safety, health, and sanitation guidelines and procedures.
