Sprouts Farmers Market is hiring an Assistant Meat Manager to lead a busy Meat & Seafood team with a focus on accuracy, team development, and excellent customer service. You will assist in merchandising, inventory control, and ensuring product quality while upholding safety standards.

The position requires 2+ years in grocery meat retail, leadership experience, and a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Competitive pay, benefits, and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a basic knowledge of math, weights and measures.
• Minimum of 2 years professional experience; 2–3 years grocery retail in Meat dept preferred.
• Dependable, friendly, positive attitude; able to interact with customers.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• General housekeeping and adherence to safety/Weighs and Measures regulations.
• Ability to stand for up to 4 hours at a time; lift/carry up to 90 lbs; use equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Meat & Seafood Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Meat & Seafood team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Meat & Seafood team.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
